Planting collage

 

This task was to draw a horizon line and person on a page first, then we were given two post-it notes to place in the scene, they weren't instructed to be anything but I automatically assumed they were structures or buildings of some kind because of their formal shape. Then we were given a magazine to cut out 4 plants from to add to our scene, this was the fun bit. 

This short but sweet exercise showed me that it's easy to get any design process started and gather ideas even from simple activities such as this. 

I might have to try this again!
